      TV3's SERI NONA TROPHY AWARD (2003)

      All her efforts and hard work paid off handsomely for Suzieyati Idham when she won this year's Sistem Television Malaysia Berhad or TV3's Anugerah Trofi Sri NONA last Sunday at Mines Beach Resort and Spa in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Guest-of-Honour Datin Seri Endon Mahmood, wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, presented Suzieyati, 33, with her prizes which comprised a main trophy sponsored by Langkawi Crystal worth RM30,000, jewellery items by Diamond House worth RM20,000 and silk material worth RM1,000 sponsored by Suteramas.

      "I don't know what to say. I just didn't expect to win as all the other contestants are equally worth," she said. Suzieyati, who holds a Business Management Degree from the United States, is the Managing Director of two College campuses in Pekan and Kuantan, Pahang.

      "I attribute this success to Kolej SHAHPUTRA. If not for Its outstanding records in various fields, it is unlikely I could have won "the Woman Entrepreneur" Award". A million thanks to Kolej SHAHPUTRA."

      Quote by Suzieyati, who dedicated the Award to her late mother, Che Piah Ibrahim (affectionately remembered as Mama Intan) who was also a member of Kolej SHAHPUTRA's Board of Directors.

    Azrahayu’s Secret for Success
    Azrahayu bte Abdul Aziz, 19, a former UPM Pre-Diploma Computer Science student, has become the pride of Kolej ShahPutra with her outstanding achievement in the UPM Diploma in Computer Science examination recently. She obtained a PNG 4.00 score. Born in Kg Benta, Pekan, Azrahyu will no doubt become an inspiration to students pursuing their studies at the college. What was the secret behind her success?

    • Q: What factors contributed to your success?
      A: Family. Lecturers and self. I strongly held to the belief that studies must take priority over fun and enjoyment as a teenager.
    • Q: How did you study?
      A: Full concentration during lectures. Never shy to ask if I did not understand. I really thank my lecturers who were always there to explain whenever I needed help. At the same time, Revision at night and forming study groups help a great deal but I am one of those who prefers to study by myself.
    • Q: Will this success in any way cause you stress in the future?
      A: No. Will I continue to achieve similar outstanding results in the future? Honestly, I don’t know. As I student, I must study diligently and be fully prepared to face the examination. I also pray for my continued success.
